The Sun Lodge No. 106

Welcome to The Sun Lodge

Founded in 1759, The Sun Lodge No. 106 is one of the long established Freemason Lodges in Devon. We currently have a strong progression of enthusiastic young Master Masons and a bright future.

We have been working continuously since 2nd March 1797 (227 years).

The Sun Lodge is a dynamic and balanced lodge. It is a charitable organisation just like other masonic lodges that meet here in Exmouth.

We have a good mix of new and old members from different professions meeting with the kindred goal of helping others through charity.  While also at the same time channelling our thoughts, words, and deeds so becoming better fathers, husbands, colleagues, friends and men in the process.

There is plenty of opportunity to develop the core values of Freemasonry. For those considering to join or know more about Freemasonry just make contact.

We hold 12 meetings in a year including one installation. Apart from this, we hold various formal and informal social evenings, for families and friends, in and around Exmouth as well as attend other Masonic meetings as guests in the Province of Devonshire.

We are always pleased to welcome visiting brethren and if you would like to join us at one of our meetings please contact our Secretary.

We also have a very active Lodge of Instruction that meets on the first Tuesday of each month from September to June.

The Sun Lodge first met in Exmouth at the Dolphin Inn, on 18th January 1784.
